Close Call – Dump Truck Loses Load

Dump Truck spill

Pavestone’s General Manager, Tommy Davis, sent us a safety reminder this morning. This is a photo of an outside carrier’s trailer that was loaded with “Arkansas River Rock”.  The driver said that he was apparently loaded with the aggregate all to one side of his trailer. When he attempted to raise the trailer to dump his load at a local yard…well you get the idea.

NEVER DRIVE OR STAND ANYWHERE NEAR A TRUCK DUMPING.

Fortunately, no one was injured in this incident including the driver as the tractor did not turn over. A 12,000 lb trailer and 46,000 lbs of rock….58,000 lbs over on it’s side. Stop and think about that for a minute.

Pavestone encourages our suppliers and customers to heed this warning as well, and always think “Safety First”.
