New Orleans Beautification Project – Pave Stones & Retaining Walls by Pavestone

by Pavestone on November 19, 2009

Mike Dillon, from Pavestone’s CDC Sales team in New Oleans, LA submitted these photos of the Veterans Blvd. CPZ Beautification Project, Phase I and Phase II. This is a multiphase project to beautify the neutral ground at major intersections in Jefferson Parish (the suburbs of New Orleans). Phase II was installed by Anthony’s Architectural Landscape Construction of Metairie, LA. The architect is Bryan Parks of Greg Cantrell Inc. of Kenner, LA. The scope of work included installation of Highland 6″ Combo SRW and FSW with columns in Sand Blend; Holland 6cm tumbled in Old Town Blend; irrigation, lighting and planting.

Along with the wall, pavers, and landscaping, each intersection will have an art sculpture that sits inside a large round raised bed made with Highland SRW. Phase I shows the installation art, as well as Phase II in progress.

The link below is a newspaper article about the art for Phase II.
