The Bret Scullion Feeding Center
Legacy Of Bret Scullion Honored With Children's Feeding Center By Tim Berns

Bret Scullion Donation

Bret Scullion

DALLAS - In October 20006 Pavestone lost a wonderful leader, teacher and incredible individual with the passing of Bret Scullion. The rest of the world lost a true humanitarian who drew life from serving the needs of others.

A 17-year veteran of the Pavestone Team, Bret quickly proved his undeniable value to the company when promoted to Vice President of the Retail Division and member of the Executive Committee. He was the recipient of numerous awards throughout his career including the Pavestone Chairman's Award in February, 2005. Bret earned the respect of his competition and customers alike, while establishing a level of excellence in the hardscapes industry.

Bret's biggest passion was his work as a lay missionary and humanitarian. He was looking forward to his first missionary trip to the Philippines when he was diagnosed with cancer.
The trip had to be cancelled, but that didn't stop Bret. Not even the cancer that ravaged his body could keep him from reaching out with love and compassion to help others. Even while receiving extreme and often painful treatments at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Tex., he found the strength to organize a group to feed the homeless in a poverty-stricken area around the hospital.
Manna Worldwide

To honor the memory of this great and selfless man who was always willing to share freely and give generously to those less fortunate, Pavestone has opened a children's feeding center in Manila, Philippines in partnership with Manna Worldwide. Manna Worldwide currently feeds more than 6,000 children two meals a day through 107 feeding centers throughout the world.

"Bret accomplished a tremendous amount in his short 50 years," said Bob Schlegel, Founder and CEO, Pavestone Company. "He epitomized true leadership. Bret was an integral member of our team, a wonderful friend and is missed terribly."
